.How to get there

At first glance, the Weisses Rössli in Zürch-Enge looks a little inconspicuous, but it is a beautiful place that is still a little insider tip, not just from a culinary point of view. In summer, the cosy garden adds to the relaxed atmosphere. But even when the weather is less cooperative, this classic is still a winner.

The understated ambience and the young and phenomenal service make this uncomplicated restaurant a real feel-good place. Gault Millau agrees.

The young Italian Ivan Capo took over as head chef at the Weisses Rössli in September 2023. Despite his young age, he already has some impressive achievements on his CV, including successful participation in international cooking competitions and two years at the Grand Hotel Dolder alongside Heiko Nieder.

Using high-quality products, Capo and his team continue to conjure up regional and Mediterranean-influenced dishes that are always modern and original and leave nothing to be desired regarding creativity. You can assemble your own menu from the appealing dishes on the Weisses Rössli menu.

Capo and his colleagues take the phrase "You eat with your eyes" more than seriously. Artfully executed starters such as poached organic egg with spinach, guanciale and fresh truffle or a wonderfully cooked Gambero Rosso with clementine, avocado, vanilla and olive are as visually appealing as they are on the palate.

The menu includes refined creations such as Thurgau apple pork, served with sweet potato and root spinach and finished with wasabi tapioca chips and BBQ sauce. Vegan celeriac with shiitake fagottini, dukkah crumble, and fragrant curry can also delight those who want to avoid meat or animal products.

The apple pie with cardamom cream and walnut ice cream or a delicious baba au rhum with creamy Chantilly, lemon and vanilla ice cream again demonstrate the craftsmanship and bring a successful evening to a fitting end. The excellent sommelier serves outstanding wines from Switzerland, Italy or Spain as well as fine non-alcoholic drinks, and the service is attentive without being intrusive.

The Weisse Rössli is a genuinely enchanting neighbourhood restaurant that provides an all-around unforgettable evening without any fuss.
