The Linen Company A good day begins at night

"It was such a wonderful feeling when I slept in linen for the first time one beautiful summer in the Provence. What followed was hardly a coincidence. The thought of being able to surround myself with those beautiful fabrics and share them with others wouldn’t leave me." With these words, Monika Gilgen, owner of The Linen Company, tells the beginnings of her story, which is not so long ago. In February 2014 the Linen Company was born. Monika revealed her "passion for a life with exquisite textiles, designs and colors" beyond her own walls

A look through her collection had me instantly captivated: bed linen, table linen, and a limited edition of decorative cushions. Everything made from high-quality linen in fresh, subtle shades that can be perfectly combined with each other. Refined and simple. My discerning taste exactly, and I simply couldn't resist contacting the owner immediately.

A few days later Monika was standing in front of me: warm, cheerful, and stylish. She had a chic linen bag under her arm, filled with countless samples. The bed linen is a dream and very easy to maintain as I learn from her. It is the stone wash that gives the products their distinctive and wonderfully smooth touch.

The textiles are produced using exclusively European raw materials in accordance with the OEKO-TEX® Standard 100. Actually, the perfect material for a children's bed linen range. I am very curious to see whether Monika will venture this eventually. I would order immediately!

That being said, bed linen and sheets can be ordered custom-made. From years of experience Monika knows the complexities of the many different measurements that exist in the Swiss market.
