Pizzas! Paste! Gelato! Dolci! Let's be honest: who doesn't get excited about Italian cuisine? A freshly topped wood-fired pizza almost always tastes good! The two Più Ristorantes Europaallee and Schiffbau specialise in the latter. The modern and chic restaurants bring a piece of creative and authentic Napoli to Zurich.
And where Napoli is included in a name, the special pizza dough, which is allowed to rest for an extra long time, is, of course, a must. 48 hours of maturing make the dough light and airy, while a baking time of 60 to 90 seconds at 450 ̊C ensures the characteristically thin base and uniquely fluffy pizza crust.
The pizza at Più Ristorantes is topped with delicious "fior di latte" and a choice of spicy salami or date tomatoes, buffalo mozzarella and basil pesto or delicious vegan toppings such as vegan crème fraîche, truffle paste, wild mushrooms, caramelised onions and hazelnuts.
The menu also includes delicious spaghettone "carbonara", a classic dish with guanciale, pecorino and egg yolk, for example, as well as other pasta and other delicacies. We were particularly taken with the stuzzichini, tasty snacks for an aperitif or as a starter: polenta fries with truffle dip or fritto misto, anyone? And for dessert, tiramisu and some gelato are a must.
With a glass of Funkelperlen Rosé Secco from Württemberg or Più Vino Rosato from Tuscany (the ristorantes are also dedicated to selling wine), you can watch the pizzaiolo at work in a pleasantly stylish atmosphere and with amiable service at the open kitchen counter. The Più Ristorantes are simply a lot of fun with authentic flavours and a convivial atmosphere - Bella Italia always works!
