Moon Vegan Desserterie in Wiedikon

A hint of sugary sweetness, flattering cinnamon and spicy cardamom floats around the entrance of Moon in Bertastrasse in Wiedikon, a concept store that ingeniously combines Scandinavian pastries and desserts with bean-to-bar chocolate - all prepared in a vegan way.

The unique taste experience of the delicious Cinnamon Rolls and Sticky Buns is the result of good ingredients combined with the craftsmanship of the two makers, Danish Bianca Legorreta and American Britta Kürzi. The former is known for her White Rabbit Bakery, while the latter runs the small-scale company Kürzi Kakao.

This close collaboration between the two women is a stroke of luck for lovers of exceptional pastries. Even entering this fine confectionery delights the senses. In pastel colours and discreetly decorated, the display presents such delicious delicacies that one is left with nothing but a happy sigh.

Should it be the cardamom buns or a few cinnamon buns with icing, perhaps accompanied by a chai latte made from homemade chai mix? But wait, there are also the brownies with salted miso caramel or these little cakes with lemon yuzu or pecan cinnamon. In any case, Moon is pure temptation for all those who can't go past anything sweet.
