Gasthaus zum guten Glück Relaxed indulgence

Happiness has a place, and that is in the middle of Wiedikon. From breakfast in the morning to lunch and dinner in the evening, the team in the café, the restaurant or the cosy bar with its massive pewter counter spoils its guests and offers a variety of delicacies.

The café, for example, is a relaxed place where the house's specialities are served: Pancakes with an incredibly varied selection of savoury and sweet toppings, as well as delicious waffles and pufferli. With apple sauce or maple syrup, with compote or simply with a glacé. Dutch-born owner Yuri Kampstra knows exactly how waffles and pancakes should be served. At weekends, all these delicious dishes are available at the generous brunch time from early morning until late afternoon.

On the other hand, the restaurant offers a daily menu that changes weekly for lunch. Here, the day's recommendation is, for example, a hearty beef steak sandwich with salad, a fresh Caesars salad or a delicious lasagne al forno.

In the evening, Dutch snacks are offered at the bar. Bitterballen, patat, and really juicy meatballs are dished up and harmoniously accompany the selected beer and wine specialities of the house. The snack platter for two to four people is recommended here, on which all the snacks on offer come with a choice of two sauces.

But the Gasthaus zum Guten Glück not only provides enjoyable meals, it is also a guesthouse with nine stylish and individually furnished rooms for the perfect short break in Zurich. Quietly located, but still right in the middle of the urban action.
