.How to get there
EquiTable means, where possible, fair trade products with the Max Havelaar label as well as organic and specialist products from developing countries. Consistent focus on organic, regional, and seasonal products. Fair trade products where possible even for the interior.
The reception and atmosphere are uncomplicated and exceptionally friendly. Restaurant EquiTable promises a delicious experience with healthy, natural flavours underscored with sustainability. – We can’t wait!
The house bread with butter and cress is brought right away. One incredible bite of the somewhat unusual spinach sprouts with spelt grass seasoning has us sold on this new flavour. And the Rosé Franciacorta aperitif is a perfect pairing.
The Lake Lugano pikeperch served with chervil root, kohlrabi, and a shiso-sbrinz sauce is another completely new taste experience we can’t get enough of, paired with a glass of 2015 Sancerre Silex by Francois le Saint, one of my favourite wines. The venison from Puschlav with cauliflower and truffle from the Uetliberg tastes wonderful; the look on my companion’s face says it all.
A cheese platter is available before the sweet dessert course if you’d like. We, however, go directly for the raw cocoa gel with cocoa crumble and girasole gelato with girasole blossoms. Once again, only to be commended. The entire meal is first-class. Surprising, puristic, and definitely sustainable!
The man manning the stove, Fabian Fuchs, is a humble master who’s cooked his way to the top with hard work and commitment, and has made a big name for himself in Zurich. The young team supporting him is highly motivated, very competent, and provides nutritional sustenance and an unforgettable experience!
