.How to get there
Spanish tapas culture epitomises pure joie de vivre and indulgence. Renowned chef Zizi Hattab also missed some of the classic tapas dishes from Barcelona and Bilbao so much that she quickly brought them to the city on the Limmat. In her wine bar, Cor, she and Bernd Vogel serve selected wines with tapas and pintxos that are not only delicious but also vegan by pure coincidence.
The puristically furnished restaurant brings the relaxed lifestyle of Catalonia to lively Wiedikon. You can enjoy fine and surprising pintxos and small Catalan-style appetisers at rustic wooden tables with a good drop of wine.
Pa amb tomaquet (Catalan tomato bread), croquetas and, of course, tasty potato omelettes with aioli and a delicious caramel flan are all made without animal products, as is customary in Hattab's kitchen; she also serves purely plant-based cuisine in her third shop after Kle and Dar.
Of course, a nice glass of wine is a must. The focus here is particularly on Spanish and French wines. Vogel focuses on exceptional wines from smaller producers and newcomers. Real rarities and surprising wines are also sometimes served by the glass. However, Vogel only orders each wine once to keep the menu varied.
It's not just the cool crowd that contributes to the relaxed atmosphere, but also the laid-back staff, who put their heart and soul into looking after their guests. Fittingly, the name Cor means heart in Catalan and refers to Vogel's love of wine and Hattab's love of Catalan culture.
