Collective Bakery Best coffee and fantastic baked goods

Whether hygge, lagom or fika - a little time out in everyday life is good for the soul. The Collective Bakery in the heart of District 5 is a beautiful place to give your mind some air during your lunch break, for example.

In the puristically designed room with straight-lined furniture made of light wood, large windows let in a lot of light while you taste one or the other coffee speciality made from home-roasted beans. In addition to those with espresso, the Collective Bakery also serves hand-poured filter coffee or cold brew, which bring out the special coffee aromas of single-origin beans particularly well.

The lava stone counter is just as eye-catching as the free-standing concrete pavilion in which the Collective Bakery is located. And then there are the delicious baked goods! Double-baked, delicate croissants and pains au chocolat, for example. Or the delicious cinnamon buns. Or the changing specials, where there is always something new to discover.

Copenhageners are always different: for example, with vanilla custard garnished with the most delicious fruit the season offers. Or a savoury version with minty ricotta, peas and green asparagus.

The sourdough bread, whose dough is allowed to rest for 24 hours, is also a hit. This makes it not only digestible but with its crispy cracking crust and juicy interior with a delicate acidity, it is also a great treat just with some fresh mountain graham butter.

In addition, there is a small but fine brunch until 1:00pm with delicious shakshuka made from organic eggs or a classic breakfast plate with sourdough and grain bread, different types of cheese, as well as homemade jam and natural yoghurt with house granola.

You don't have to miss out on the baked treats on the other side of town either. A selection of the most popular baked goods, such as sourdough bread, croissants, other delicacies, and coffee creations, can also be found in the takeaway window at Freyastrasse 3, just around the corner from Wiedikon station.
