Spending the whole day in a relaxed atmosphere in a bar is very easy in the Cinchona Bar in the 25hours Hotel Zurich in Langstrasse, and it's also delightful.

Here you can not only work comfortably in the lounge ambience at a warming chemineé, but your afternoon coffee also becomes something special - with a gentle transition to a fine aperitif.

In the late evening, the Cinchona Bar is a bar as you know it: urban, trendy, and chic. But the bartenders don't just serve refreshing cocktails in frozen glasses here; the menu now includes plant-based bar food. The Asian-inspired snacks, such as gyoza dumplings with harissa and soy sauce (CHF 12) or panko fried magic mushrooms (CHF 14) with a delicious lemongrass mayonnaise, were created by food specialist Lauren Wildbolz together with the head chef of the 25hours Hotel Langstrasse Sebastian Haase.

By the way, absolutely unbeatable for small appetites are the Parsnip Fries, parsnip fries with truffle mayonnaise, served so crispy and salty with this delicate sauce that I just want to reach for them uncontrollably.

Lauren Wildbolz is excited to now bring her new creations to Cinchona Bar under the motto "Future Cuisine". "With the bar food, we want to show how flavourful plant-based food is. It doesn't always have to be light and healthy - that's what our menu shows, which also includes crispy fried dishes", she explains.

Another highlight on the menu is the sweet spectrum. Small Kubo tartes, vegan mini desserts dressed in a fruity calamansi sauce.

To accompany the sophisticated small dishes, Cinchona Bar's signature drinks are now also available in non-alcoholic. The Forester Highball paired with lime and pink grapefruit (CHF 11) and the wonderfully bitter-tart Riddler, in which a Martini Vibrante with tonic and orange form a brilliant combination, are clearly my favourites. Just as new, the bar menu also offers the non-alcoholic premium wines of the Berlin start-up Kolonne Null and LOLA beer.

At the Cinchona Bar, Veganuary and Dry January can be enjoyed well beyond January - in a delightful, full-bodied and absolutely contemporary way.
