Café des Amis Art Nouveau Café with French Flair

What conveys a better French attitude to life than a relaxed Art Nouveau café? The Café des Amis in Wipkingen invites you to visit at any time of day or year. While you can enjoy the first rays of sunshine in spring and the warm evenings on the large terrace in summer, colder days invite you into the beautiful rustic interior with its Art Deco elements.

Food is available here at any time of day. Fried eggs with bacon, various croissants and toasts or petit déjeuners with bread and butter, fruit and yoghurt (also vegan) invite you to visit in the morning. On the other hand, the brunch menu tempts you to share delights, with étagères from 2 people (29.50 p.p.), with a selection of cheeses, fruit, nuts, muesli, smoked salmon and more. Vegetarian options are also available. If you prefer to stick to your own plate, there is also a Mediterranean vegetable selection or salads.

The best way to enjoy the sun here is with an aperitivo or a coffee, which of course, also comes with matching pastries or crèpes. In the evening, the Café des Amis offers French bistro classics such as tartar, various quiches, goat cheese with honey and ruccola, but also pasta and small plates such as hummus, buffalo mozzarella and soups of the day.

Last but definitely not least, the Café des Amis is famous for its moules et frittes. Seasonally, the delicious seafood is available in the evening, from November to March, with its own menu, in different variations. Marinières in white wine, with tomato sauce or au citron piccante: the moules et frittes here are finger-licking good!
