Bottega Berta
Bertastrasse 36
8003 Zurich-District 3
.How to get there
Located right next to Idaplatz in district 3, Bottega Berta invites you to enjoy traditional Italian cuisine that is so fresh and modern in its interpretation that it's a pleasure. The adapted portion sizes are particularly pleasant in this cosy restaurant with 30 seats because the typical antipasti, primi and secondi can be enjoyed all three simultaneously.
In addition to the house specialities, there are new dishes every day, creatively adapted to the season. Whether it's a fried cauliflower in a panko coat with a fine goat's cheese and fruity tomato jam from 'Jack's Garden' (14.5 francs) for lunch or refined truffle-potato ravioli in butter sauce with grated egg yolk and chives (31.5 francs), this is a highly enjoyable way to celebrate the lunch break. In addition, an apple and celery soup is served with each 'Pranzo Menu'.
For secondi in the evening, the juicy beef entrecôte with baked aubergine and salsa verde (28.5 francs) is just as recommendable as the tender osso buco with hearty braised vegetables on white polenta and gremolata (26.5 francs).
For dessert, a creamy tiramisu with a 'crack of chocolate and bitter almond' (12.5 francs) or the 'Berta Cheesecake' (9.5 francs) is simply the ultimate must-have.
In spring, by the way, it's especially lovely here at Bottega Berta, because you sit outside on the pavement under the pink cherry plum trees and admire the gloriously shimmering blossoms. A late brunch with Mediterranean-inspired dishes is the perfect way to get in the mood for the coming spring season.
