Let's be honest: Easter has always been about feasting. In the past, people used to fill their bellies with chocolate, today it's about yeast plait, egg dishes and Easter roast. Add a few favorite people and maybe a glass of sparkling wine - and Easter can come.

Fortunately, for all those who want to save themselves the stress of shopping and the time in the kitchen, there are countless brunch venues that will do the work for you. Some have even called in the Easter bunny and serve very special delicacies over the two festive days. Here we reveal our favorite addresses:

Lusthaus

The Lusthaus in the Vienna Prater is a reminder of the imperial prehistory of the city park. It was built in the 16th century as a hunting lodge. Today, many hundreds of years later, everyone can enjoy themselves there, as the former hunting lodge now houses an attractive restaurant. Dine in imperial style under stucco-decorated ceilings or on the green, wreathed terrace. The popular Easter brunch is back again this year. Local delicacies, the first heralds of spring and, of course, holiday classics such as Easter ham and roast lamb will be served.

After an extensive breakfast, which is served until 4 pm, you can take an Easter stroll through the extensive Lainzer Tiergarten, which is very close by.

Brick 15

Breakfast in the gym - sounds like a school party, but is one of the most popular brunch spots in the city. Every Saturday and Sunday, you can feast on a sumptuous vegan and vegetarian buffet in the 15th district. Inside the airy, bright gym or - weather permitting - in the romantic garden. The historic hall is run by an association that aims to promote art and culture in the district: it's not just the brunch that is worth a visit. Art exhibitions, concerts, workshops and yoga take place there regularly.
