Calienna Plant-Infused Design Oasis

Nestled amidst Vienna's hip and partly bustling seventh district, Calienna is something of a small oasis. Nature, art, design, and good coffee come together here. So, it's no longer just your typical concept store. There's much more to discover in the two-story shop on Neubaugasse.
When the 13A bus rushes by outside and people are bustling about, stepping into Calienna feels like a mini-retreat. We visit this beautiful refuge for what we believe is the city's best chai latte, when we're looking for a new green roommate, or when we want to be inspired by finely curated design objects.

Calienna, by the way, is a combination of California and Vienna. It was founded by life and business partners Christian and Miriam Cervantes. The couple has infused their passion for plants, design, and personal development into the store.

On the lower floor of the thoughtfully designed shop, you'll find the café with a great selection of hot drinks and tasty treats - a shoutout to the vegan carrot cake! - and a garden oasis that any indoor plant enthusiast would dream of. When I'm not browsing for the next Calathea or pothos here, I enjoy sitting with my drink at one of the tables surrounded by plants. After all, they have a positive effect on mood.

Heading upstairs, you'll find "The Living Room," a space dedicated to holistic well-being, expanded by an adjoining gallery space. From unique plants and reflective art to expertly crafted furniture, design objects, and wellness items, every detail here is carefully chosen. In the adjacent "The Study," there's a finely curated selection of literature on various topics.

Christian and Miriam have created a place here that "revives our connection to nature and the inner spaces of our minds." And you can genuinely feel that when you're there.
