For more than 20 years, the team around florist Christine Fink has been conjuring up artistic bouquets. The interior design of her shop in the 4th district is no less artistic. No wonder Blumenkraft is considered by many to be the most beautiful flower shop in the city.
The shop looks like an art gallery with its high ceilings, generous arched windows and simple plinths and shelves. Art in the classical sense is not on offer here, but the flower bouquets created by florist Christine Fink and her team at Blumenkraft are undoubtedly artistic.
For more than 20 years, the power and strength of flowers have been celebrated here in Schleifmühlgasse. When Christine Fink opened her shop in the late 1990s, her aesthetic was avant-garde and sensational. And it still is today.
Not only are the bouquets beautiful to look at, but the shop is also a real feast for the eyes. Blumenkraft is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful flower shops in the city. A Viennese interior design firm was hired especially for the remodelling and interior design of the spacious rooms. Individual elements such as the ornate columns recall the long history of the Gründerzeit building.
The furnishings are deliberately kept simple so the flowers are shown to their full advantage in their blooming splendour. The plants, arranged in glass vases on concrete pedestals and the high shelves, appear almost sculptural. They extend their feelers into the room, sometimes several metres high.
The experienced team arranges the individual splashes of colour into lush bouquets: Creative and artistic, sometimes colourful and playful, sometimes simple and elegant. The design of the bouquets varies according to season, occasion and personal wishes. But they all have flower power.
