The Hood Bar Good drinks in casual atmosphere

When hunger is satisfied after a nice dinner, but the joy of conviviality and good drinks remains, there are genuinely not too many bars in Munich where you can sit together in a pleasant atmosphere until the early morning hours.

That is now changing with the new opening of The Hood Bar in Neuhausen. The district in the west of the city long shines with great restaurants like the classy Asian Jacci or the Hawaiian cuisine at Maui - but there has been a lack of chic bars.

Owner Devrim Bayraktar, who grew up in Neuhausen, now wants to offer a casual and cosy meeting place for the neighbourhood - according to the name The Hood - "and of course for all other Munich residents who value a cool ambience and good drinks", as he says.

In addition to Aperol Spritz, wine and beer, the menu offers 15 sophisticated cocktails - from classics like the Moscow Mule to original creations like the Enzoani with grape, gin, Campari and lemon, the Brumble (rum, blackberry) or - our favourite - the Aperol Power with vodka, Aperol and lemon. Olives and nibbles are served for small appetites because the focus in the Hood is clearly on the drinks.

You can sip them on the nice terrace or inside, where marble, velvet and dark wood dominate - On weekends until 5 am! Cheers!
