Riva Bar
Tal 44
80331 Munich-Altstadt
.How to get there
As the northernmost city in Italy, Munich has plenty of fine Mediterranean restaurants to offer. One particularly cozy restaurant is the Riva Bar in Tal. It serves a classic Italian breakfast with fresh cornetti as well as various aperitivo options - all in an exclusive ambience with bespoke designer furniture.
Standing still means going backwards. This also applies to gastronomy. Tradition is important, but an established culinary concept should also move gently with the times. As in the case of the Riva Bar in the valley not far from the Isar Gate.
For a whole 22 years, the restaurant was known as Pizzeria Riva Tal for Italian cuisine classics. At the end of 2022, it celebrated a successful comeback as Riva Bar with a slightly modified kitchen concept and a new, cozy and chic interior.
You can now stroll through the restaurant on a high-quality terrazzo floor, dine at solid wooden tables and sit on bespoke leather sofas under designer brass lamps.
The warm, lively atmosphere in the style of the Italian 60s is only topped by the food. Homemade pasta and pizza for lunch or dinner, freshly baked cornetti for breakfast and Italian café and stuzzichini (small snacks with various toppings) all day long: This is how dolce vita works!
On Fridays and Saturdays, there is also a DJ in the Riva Bar. And in keeping with the Mediterranean aperitivo culture, a stuzzichino is served daily from 4 to 6 p.m. with every aperitif ordered - in good weather also on the lovely little terrace in front of the restaurant.
The drinks menu also includes a large selection of wines from Lake Garda, Moretti beer, cocktails and fine sparkling wines from the Franciacorta region.
With its Mediterranean specialties, new retro charm and friendly service team, the Riva Bar offers guests in Munich a successful vacation flair all'italiana.
