MUN Restaurant & Bar
Innere Wiener Straße 18

.How to get there
Modern Asian cuisine, combined with exceptional wines from around the world. Prepared and selected by a Korean-American chef who recently had one of the hottest "Supper Clubs" in Buenos Aires as well as a top restaurant in Mendoza, Argentina. The brand new Mun Restaurant in Haidhausen is unquestionably an exciting addition to Munich's dining scene.
Located at Innere Wiener Straße 18, where formerly Oriental dishes were served in a sumptuous decor, one now finds Sushi, Dim Sum and Korean Rib Eye Steak on the menu. The restaurant has a new, luxurious interior of natural elements such as bark, moss and wood.
Chef Mun offers guests a "show" with food, music and great wines that might leave you a little "tipsy." And if the quality level remains the same as the press dinner, in my opinion, Mun is destined to be an excellent culinary offering! Because at our table all guests were unanimous: everything from the amuse bouche to the sushi was delicious and perfectly matched with an off-dry Riesling. The same applies to the flambéed octopus with traditional Korean chili sauce and subsequent pork dim sum on a fluffy, steamed bun.
For the Korean rib-eye steak, we enjoyed an Argentine Malbec. Chef Mun had the chance to explain how he began to combine Asian fusion cuisine with exceptional vines. His previous experience owning a restaurant in the vineyards of Mendoza now serves as a source of inspiration for the menu and wine pairings in his restaurant.
Mun serves four- or six-course menus on a nightly basis. Also, the a la carte sushi menu offered in the lounge is paired with perfect, sophisticated wine accompaniments and cocktail recommendations.
The sweet finish to our evening was a yuzu panna cotta and a sparkling Moscato D'Asti. For me, this alone is a reason to come back soon ...
