Moro Mou Greek specialities and beach feeling

Not only in fashion but also in gastronomy, there are always successful renaissances. The rebirth of a culinary concept or a particular era can not only please old and new guests but also bring back fond memories.

How skilfully such a restaurant revival can be implemented in Munich can be seen in the Greek restaurant Moro Mou (translated: My Baby). In spring 2022, the heart project of the owner couple Klaus Pfeiffer and Kleopatra Tatsi reopened in Königinstraße near the English Garden. Where the legendary Cavos once sat, guests are now pampered with Mediterranean, authentic specialities.

The small appetiser plates with cold and hot classics such as olives, kafteri, octopus carpaccio and homemade truffle fries are particularly tasty. And the entrees (especially "Kritharotto" - Greek pointed pasta with scallops and wild-caught prawns) are also excellent! In addition to lots of fresh fish and seafood, the kitchen focuses on high-quality meat dishes - rounded off with an extensive wine list.

In keeping with the Mediterranean holiday feeling, when the weather is nice, you can bury your bare toes in the heaped-up sand in the outdoor area of Moro Mou. Inside, on the other hand, a modern ambience with lots of wood, olive branches as table decorations, muted tones and blue and white crockery creates a pleasant atmosphere.

But it's not only Greece fans who feel at home at Moro Mou. The restaurant, which belongs to the adjacent Café Reitschule, is, like Cavos in the past, the preferred location for lavish parties at the weekend with flying napkins to live music from the DJ. In short: a place that skilfully combines a good atmosphere with fine drinks and food.
