.How to get there
For quite some time now, there is a delicious smell of cookies swirling around Gärtnerplatz, and not just because it’s nearly Christmas time. In the newly opened Keksliebe store you will find the highly skilled pastry chef Julie Bamber and experienced all round event and catering manager Stefanie Jabs offering fabulous present ideas.
Whatever the occasion, for large companies ordering cookies for clients and employees or individuals organising smaller events such as weddings and birthday parties Keksliebe has the right cookie for everyone. On request bespoke cookies can be designed, created and decorated in the shop.
Creativity knows no boundaries at Keksliebe. From classic seasonal cookies likes snowflakes, flowers and Christmas trees, to football T-shirts and dirndls, its even possible for Keksliebe to personalise cookies with your own logo. For bespoke cookies you only need to order a minimum of 20 cookies. All cookies are beautifully wrapped and carefully packed and can be delivered anywhere in Europe.
Of course you can also go to the shop in person and select the perfect cookie for yourself. “The wedding and baby collections in special gift boxes with motives are very popular” says Keksliebe founder Stefanie Jabs. The colourful sugar iced cookies are an absolute eyecatcher.
As well as their own cookies, KEKSLIEBE stocks baked goods from around the world as well as pretty baking accessories and sugar decoration. “We’ve even created specially created biscuits for dogs!” says Stefanie laughing.
After my visit to Keksliebe I happened to walk past the shop again after closing and noticed a couple peering through the shop window. “It looks adorable in there” said the wife excitedly. The husband replied “Do you think they also serve coffee there?”
The answer is YES! The store serves coffee made with coffee beans from the Munich roast house “man versus machine” as well as hot chocolate which can be enjoyed in the shop, or on a sunny day on the little bench outside. Cookie and Coffee to go is of course also an option but only with recycleable recup cups.
“Many of Munich’s cafés and shops are part of this great initiative to reduce unnecessary waste “ explained Stefanie Jabs. I agree, we can all do our part to help reduce waste!
Oh, and for anyone still looking for a unique activity for a childrens party, team event or hen night, then you can’t go wrong with Keksliebe. Specially designed workshops led by Pastry Chef Julie Bamber gives you the opportunity to learn how to decorate cookies andshow off your creative flair. And of course you take your masterpieces home with you.
