No frills or flourishes here- just classy, conservative wooden furnishings presenting glass jars and bottles in a clean arrangement and the subtle scent of herbs and nature. In the JUST PURE concept store with an attached Day Spa in Schwabing, the name sets the agenda- and I like it.
JUST PURE is the creed for not just the presentation, but also the production of the organic cosmetics offered here. Only plant-based ingredients of natural origin and predominantly biodynamic cultivation make their way into the pretty containers. Paraffin, paraben, and synthetic stabilisers are forbidden. Company founder Gaby Just swears that she runs her line of production in accordance with the lunar calendar.
She got the idea when she left her city life and went rural, busying herself with plants and natural products- whilst questioning how she could extend the pride and joy she felt for her garden’s harvest. I have to admit, I’ve never really had reason to concern myself with this phenomena- neither the lunar calendar nor gardening- but that is completely irrelevant. I’m well convinced by the result of the textures and aromas.

These aren’t just available to take home, but to enjoy on the spot as well: the SpaSuite sprawls over a full 120 m2 next to the store. A Finnish gem stone sauna and a bio sauna as well as an infrared sauna and brine inhalation room provide for deep relaxation. A quiet area and massage table for exclusive treatments are naturally also present.
You can reserve this wellness paradise for one to four people, from two hours to a whole day- a true wellness luxury for special occasions! But JUST PURE DaySpa and its regular offer of facial treatments, massages, manis and pedis, etc. are also a wonderful destination when you just need to treat yourself.
That is exactly what I do at my test visit. Covered in soft towels, calming music in my ears, and light therapy before my eyes, I’m enjoying my manicure and facial treatment complete with a face massage. It’s the perfect way to mark closing time: as I leave the spa, office work and to-do lists are pushed into the far distance and I feel like I’ve just come back from a small holiday.
