Entenwerder 1 Favourite Café by the Northern Elbe

Why seek far afield when the good is close by? Goethe asked himself, and we have an answer: because sometimes a longer journey is worth discovering something good. Just like the café Entenwerder 1 by the Northern Elbe, for example, which has been one of Hamburg natives' favorite insider tips for two years.

Whether you walk or ride your bike, the path takes you approximately three kilometers away from the Deichtorhallen and into the idyllic Entenwerder Park. You cannot miss the café and the "golden pavilion" located on the pontoon connected to the land via a historic steel bridge.

The copper-encased ashlar over three levels originates from an art exhibition in Münster and can now be found by the Elbe, glistening golden in the sunlight. In both of the pink renovated shipping containers, you can find breakfast, seasonal delicacies, craft beer and the finest coffee from Public Coffee Roasters who roast their beans virtually next door.
