Engelke Fine Food, Lunch & more in Eppendorf

I’ve known Engelke for years, and not one Hamburg trip goes by without a lunch stop or at least a quick snack. Usually I stop by the antipasti counter to put together a big plate of whatever my heart desires in that very moment. Beet root, green beans or lentils, always perfectly seasoned and delicious, and the salads come with several homemade dressings.

Those very dressings are also available for purchase in beautiful little bottles to use at home, as well as fresh pasta, sauces and a lot more specialty foods and candy. Engelke’s lunch menu changes regularly and according to seasons, always offering a salad, a soup, one fresh pasta dish as well as a meat- and a fish dish.

To my great joy, the team at Engelke cares a great deal for sustainability and so it’s mostly local produce and other ingredients that find their way into this kitchen. Another branch Lars Engelke is trying to get hold of is the catering service - be it finger food, buffets or fixed menus,the  food is always fresh and deliciously prepped according to the customer’s wishes.
