.How to get there
Finding a decent French-style croissant in Germany can be difficult. It's different in a small French patisserie in the middle of Ottensen. Every day, French-born Pierre Ouvrard produces the most delicate French pastry for Die Patisserie.
Not only buttery croissants but also wonderfully airy brioches, colourful macarons and finely decorated tartelettes can be admired - best enjoyed directly on site in the small café. He also makes baguettes and artisan bread according to an original French recipe. No wonder, after all, he was allowed to complete his patissier training at the renowned École Gregoire Ferrandi in Paris.
For love's sake, and we thank her, he moved to Hamburg and, a few years later, opened Die Patisserie with his wife. The secret of his sinfully beautiful and tasty baked goods is high-quality ingredients and attention to detail. - Trop delicieux! That goes for the eye as well as the palate.
