Besonders Markt Food & design market at the Museum der Arbeit

Spring is just around the corner, and for the first time this year, things are getting special in Hamburg. The Besonders Markt in Barmbek will open its doors again on Sunday, March 3, 2024, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Museum der Arbeit. A whopping 90 designers, producers, traders and service providers will once again be offering their diverse and high-quality goods.

Wonderful and particularly tasty things are combined at the Besonders Markt to create a unique event for connoisseurs - far removed from mass-produced goods. The old factory hall invites you to stroll and browse while the food trucks on the forecourt exude their tempting aromas. The Museum der Arbeit will once again be represented with a historical printing machine, which visitors can use to have cards printed with their own lettering.

The exhibitors are carefully selected each time by organizer Johanna Pröpstl. She says it's not just about the uniqueness of the products and goods but also the composition of the various stands on site. "It's the mix that counts!" The atmosphere is also essential to her, and visitors can experience an all-around enjoyable day.

In addition to individuality, quality plays a significant role. It has to be unique: the production method, variety of flavours, regionality or even the origin from a different culture. Promotions, specials and special gastronomic offers make the Besonders Markt the perfect weekend program for all those who love the extraordinary.

At the Besonders Markt, you will find a diverse selection of charming products and ideas from mainly small manufacturers and workshops. Wearable art in the form of unique, colourful jewellery from Liebeundso or BaBa Jewellery for Happiness has its place here alongside natural skin care products without a lot of frills from Mari & Anne and glasses and carafes handmade in Thailand for decades in a modern design from Etna.

There are also all sorts of delicacies for gourmets, such as delicious olive oil from Vitelium, Asian sauces without additives from Yuuniwa or fine spirits such as the brand new "Mirativo limon" and the Easter egg liqueur "Schnabbelei" from Spirits of Hafencity.

If you can't make it to the Besonders Markt, founder Johanna Pröpstl also runs a store in Eimsbüttel, the Besonders Laden, where she offers carefully curated products. Her lovingly put-together gift sets and boxes are particularly popular.

However, the browsing is at least as beautiful as the products - so go Sunday shopping!
