Balz und Balz Fine Food and Good Sandwiches

Our favourite lunch spot may be a little bit hidden, but once you find it, you can truly count yourself lucky. Siblings Christoph and Kathrin Balz created a place at the rather quiet end of Lehmweg that you simply cannot pass by.

While the outside provides beautiful accommodation framed in ivy, the inside is the perfect combination of modern and cozy: tiled floors, a lot of wood, cool furniture, warm light. The impressive coffee machine creates fantastic variations of coffee and the room is filled with the scent of sheet cake and cinnamon buns.

The exquisite sandwiches, however, are the reason we will soon become regulars. Whether hearty with liver sausage and onion compote. Goat cheese aged for 12 months. Creative with beetroot and goat's curd. Or with heavenly homemade jam. - Every single sandwich is simply a poem!

The sausage comes from the parental butcher shop, the butter and cheese from the raw milk cheese dairy Backensholz located far north, and the bread from the bakery Gaues. Everything has a good origin and is processed with love. We are already looking forward to our next lunch break with excellent coffee and the best sandwiches in the city!
