.How to get there

One of the first beautiful things you notice while visiting Copenhagen – is probably the ‘Royal Copenhagen’ porcelain either at the hotel, in the interior stores or when you have dinner at your friend’s house. Royal Copenhagen is one of the oldest companies in the world. The company started back in 1775 when the company produced and designed porcelain to the royals and richest people in Europe.

I have great childhood memories of opening my grandmother’s cabinet and carefully touching her beautiful collections of Royal Copenhagen porcelain. Back then – porcelain was only to be used for Sunday dinners or very special occasions. My parents did not have a fancy collection of expensive porcelain so when I moved away from my parent’s home I decided to make my own collection of Royal Copenhagen.

The hand painted porcelain is now seen in modern homes around the world. After many decades Royal Copenhagen has proved it’s renewal and innovation and you will find a design for any taste – colorful, simple or extravagant if you like. I use my porcelain for everyday use and not just for special occasions. I love cooking for my family and our friends and if you ask me – the food will taste much better if it’s presented at a beautiful set table.
