The shutdown of Berlin's greatest airport is a shame as it is. Fortunately, the building complex will remain intact as a monument and event location. The hangars host a variety of fashion, art, design and sports events - that's something!
The former airfield is a real gain for the city and everyone is infatuated with it. You can run wild under the open sky, take long strolls, exercise, lay back or just enjoy the freedom of it all, as the airfield was symbolically named Tempelhofer Freiheit, German for freedom. Let's go!
