.How to get there

Those in the know of the Berlin Kebab business, are familiar with Mustafa's Vegetable Kebab. Over the years, the little stand on Mehringdamm has built up an extensive fan base, among them a well-known Berlin ad agency who decided to hook Mustafa up with a very own website and has since made it possible for the little food corner to get a write-up in the New York Times.

The never-ending hype, not least fuelled by this very PR-gig, has lead to the length of the queue in front of Mustafa's doubling and hungry people having to wait up until 2 hours to get a bit of their veggie goodness. That's no fun at all, especially not when you're starving.

But rest assured, there's a worthy alternative to Mustafa's now. A few months ago, Tunahan Kurnaz realised a dream of his and opened up his own kebab place called T&C. In a landmarked pavilion on Friedenau's Breslauer Platz, the infamous fried veggie goodness is now available and ready to be indulged in.

Turnaz worked at the Mehringdamm source for years and has now perfected the recipe for those legendary Turkish sandwiches. Of course you can opt for the meatless version too. The sauces are seasoned to perfection and take the taste to another level. The ingredients are fresh and crisp, and the cooked veggies are the icing on the cake.

Whenever I crave fast food, this is my place to go. To me, T&C has the perfect kebab!
