Every Thursday: 5:00pm - 10:00pm
Markthalle Neun
Eisenbahnstraße 42/43
10997 Berlin-Kreuzberg
.How to get there
All around bubbles, simmering and steam from the more or less improvised cookshops. People try a bite here, share a previously unknown dish there, and toast with a glass of Heidenpeters.
After a break for almost two years - it's finally back: Street Food Thursday at Markthalle Neun. If you're really just coming to eat, you'd be well advised to be there on time. Because it already gets crowded around 7 pm at the delicious Kreuzberg get-together at Markthalle Neun. The weekly foodie happening in the ambience of the historic market hall is popular.
No wonder, given the range of products to be discovered here. Since 2013, Markthalle Neun has been providing a platform for fresh, creative and delicious gastronomy concepts in this format, with permanent stand operators standing alongside kitchen surfing chefs to provide an insight into their culinary skills and leave a lasting impression. The long queues also leave an impression - especially in front of the particularly popular and hyped stands.
Quite a few of them also test later restaurant concepts for their suitability for the public on Street Food Thursday. Good for us, because this way you get to enjoy various specialities from all over the world - and you can always find something completely unknown. Delicious Ukrainian specialities are on offer here alongside Moroccan tajine, there are delicate dishes like oysters, just as German classics like Kässpätzle.
So in the end, the only big question is what to have for dinner - but one thing is for sure: no one has to leave hungry here! It's no longer an insider tip, so you shouldn't miss a visit to Street Food Thursday from time to time.
