.How to get there
Although the Schmidt Z&KO on Walter-Schreiber-Platz in Steglitz always offers excellent cuisine anyway, the kitchen invites guest chefs to the stove from time to time. From March 20 to 22, Thomas Kammeier from the Cord will be a guest. The wines will be served by his restaurant manager and sommelier Olaf Rode. The evenings promise to be a culinary highlight.
The Michelin Guide once awarded Thomas Kammeier's culinary skills at Restaurant Hugos with one star and Gault Millau with 18 points. He already worked at the highest level there with Olaf Rode. Kammeier has been the gastronomic director at the EUREF Campus in Schöneberg since 2015. During the three days in March, they will show together how the great "casual fine dining" cuisine is practiced at "the Cord" on the EUREF campus.
Marcel Woest and Ralf Zacherl, who are usually responsible for the kitchen at Schmidt Z&KO, find their philosophy a perfect fit: After all, the motto of the team around Florian Peters and Olaf Rode at the Cord is "You are what you eat" and presents a trend-setting style of cuisine.
The highest quality and regional products create healthy moments of pleasure, vegan, vegetarian, or with fish and meat. Great importance is attached to sustainability right from the purchasing stage, and the menu features "new classics" that achieve sophistication through simplicity.
