Pro qm thematische Buchhandlung
Almstadtstraße 48
10119 Berlin-Mitte
.How to get there
Founded almost 25 years ago by former fellow students Katja Reichard, Jesko Fezer, and Axel Wieder, the Pro qm bookshop at Almstadtstraße 48 in Mitte is still one of Berlin's leading bookshops on architecture, design, fashion and art. Today, the repertoire of literature also extends to political, economic and sustainable topics.
The range of books and magazines is international, with more than half of the titles in English. Accordingly, Pro qm also attracts an international and diverse audience to the premises from the late 1920s. As the name suggests, the relationship to the space is essential to the owners. But the colour, material and feel of the curated books, illustrated texts, and magazines are no less important.
Pro qm describes itself as a specialist bookshop and a place for interdisciplinary debates on the city, architectural theory, art, design, music, film, criticism and theory. There are regular events with renowned personalities from all fields. The focus is always on exchange within but also between worlds. This creates a unique variety of thematic and cultural connections.
