.How to get there
It has been three months since we first reported very enthusiastically about the Petzow Castle Garden, which Klaus and Lorenz Kosakowski have revived over many years. Now, one of the season's highlights is coming up on the 2nd and 3rd of September: the Petzow Summer Picnic.
For this, the privately run Schlossgarten Petzow has teamed up with the star restaurant Alte Überfahrt. For years, the highly acclaimed restaurant in Werder has been sourcing its fruit and vegetables from the traditionally cultivated area of the beautifully restored garden.
The team around chef Thomas Hübner has created two fine picnic baskets, the purchase of which gives access to the extensive area and allows you to enjoy the garden in all its facets. This is a unique opportunity, as the palace garden is usually only accessible on a guided tour.
The event takes place within the framework of the art exhibition "Parallel Garden". And so you can not only explore the garden on your own for a day, but also the art on display.
The baskets are each designed for two people and contain a fine open-air menu with sourdough bread and small fine delicacies such as peanut salad and pink boiled beef, stracciatella di bufala or freshly baked lemon cake, along with a bottle of water. The wines are available separately on-site. - Here's to life! Because it's never more beautiful than in summer.
But be quick: there are only a few last places left >>
