.How to get there
Since 1881 the building Martin-Gropius-Bau with its brick facing, mosaics, and reliefs is not only an enrichment to the city in terms of architecture but also because of the fascinating exhibitions that are held here. The building in renaissance style was built as a royal art museum, but in 1945 it was badly damaged.
When the reconstruction work was finished in 1981, the building opened its doors again. Ever since there is much to see: the impressive architecture and around ten exciting exhibitions about photography, arts, and archaeology throughout the year.
