Liebermann Villa

.How to get there
Along with Gendarmenmarkt's Nolde Stiftung, the Liebermann Villa is one my favorite Berlin museums. Situated by picturesque lake Wannsee, Max Liebermann's last residence is now home to changing exhibitions and historic treasures, and an exceptional tourist attraction at that.
Particularly beautiful when the sun plays along, the rooms of the villa get flooded with light creating an ambiance perfect for the exhibits, and even more so for the overall spatial atmosphere. The garden in the front of the house is perpetually known through many of Liebermann's impressionist paintings, and is actually reason enough for a short trip to Wannsee, especially during spring and summer.
The museum's own café Max offers a variety of pastries and cakes by organic bakery Tillmann and other delicious snacks. And every time I go, I'm tempted to just stay on the terrace, sit in the sun and enjoy the panoramic view of the lake for the whole afternoon.
To those interested in hosting your own event at Liebermann Villa: all premises, including the garden, are available for rent. Memorable occasions demand memorable settings! I've already hosted two parties there myself, and all I can say is: it was perfect!
