Kaiser Patisserie
Kurfürstendamm 51

.How to get there
Just looking at the red-woven bistro chairs in front of dark marble tables at the corner shop directly on George-Grozs-Platz in West Berlin, you could imagine yourself in the middle of Paris. An impression that is reinforced when you enter the small salesroom of Kaiser Patisserie.
Well-kept marble floors, a beautiful spherical lamp in art deco style, and openwork mirror elements create an elegant ambience you expect and desire in this corner of Berlin. Simultaneously, it transports you for a brief moment to a corner in St Germain des Prés.
Of course, the display of cupcakes on the dark wood-panelled sales counter also contributes to this: exceptionally beautiful cake and cupcake creations, colourful macarons and handmade pralines, as well as crispy puff pastry pieces, are waiting here solely for their destiny to be devoured by a sweet tooth - a real feast for the eyes.
Not only in their colourful texture and finesse but also in terms of flavours, the creations of Kaiser Patisserie are something special: raspberry rose, Earl Grey, and honey cake are just a few of the thoroughly creative flavours of the fine desserts that are almost too beautiful to eat.
The choice is a dessert slice (7.10 euros) and a small Americano (3.40 euros), which the friendly service takes us outside to the beautiful terrace. Of course, we also have to try one of the fluffy croissants. They are filled with blueberry, raspberry or, of course, pistachio cream. Next, we try an almond croissant (4.95 euros) and are enraptured by the sweet temptation, whose puff pastry spreads deliciously over the jumper.
With some luck, the sun peeks out, and you're sitting on the sunny side of the Ku'damm. A place made for indulging in a wonderful start to a particular day or simply a special everyday moment with a coffee and a sweet.
