Monday to Saturday: 10:00am - 8:00pm
KaDeWe
Tauentzienstraße 21–24
10789 Berlin-Schöneberg
.How to get there
In 1907, when the Kaufhaus des Westens (Mall of the West) opened, the King of Siam is said to have spent 250,000 marks on a two-day shopping spree. Nowadays, and in euros, that would still be easily doable. KaDeWe is the largest mall on the European continent. And although this says nothing about its quality, in the case of this famous shopping temple it is all about upscale and luxury shopping.
Whether fashion, cosmetics, jewellery, handbags or shoes, the brands from Chanel to Versace are a Who's Who of the most luxurious international brands - a personal shopping service goes without saying. But the range also includes fine stationery, fabrics and home accessories. Not to forget the impressive gourmet floor 6, including oyster and champagne bars. And it goes on: KaDeWe is to be made even more fancy by 2022 at a cost of 180 million.
Tip: For those who need a little break from shopping, a coffee on the 7th floor combined with this outstanding view over Berlin should be included in your KaDeWe experience.
