.How to get there
Berlin courtyards, always in an interplay between classical architecture and modernity, are consistently worth celebrating. This is precisely what KPM Berlin does at its annual courtyard festival, which takes place again in July, this time for an extraordinary occasion: the 260th anniversary of the manufacturer.
The Königliche Porzellan-Manufaktur Berlin is once again inviting guests to a large summer festival in the KPM Quarter on 8 and 9 July. Guests can gain an insight into the traditional company and get to know it from a very personal side during mini-workshops and guided tours of the manufactory. The focus is still on tradition, as the historic KPM Berlin manufactory grounds are still the only production site for the unique white or hand-painted porcelain pieces.
Live music and a wide range of culinary delights provide entertainment and enjoyment at the courtyard festival. Thanks to its location not far from the Tiergarten, a visit to KPM Berlin can be ideally combined with a weekend stroll.
A particular highlight: porcelain enthusiasts can design their own products under professional guidance in the hands-on manufactory. Meanwhile, there will also be a colourful children's programme for the little ones.
Admission is free. Whether out of a passion for porcelain or a love of historic Berlin courtyards, a visit to the KPM Berlin Courtyard Festival is worthwhile every year.
