Spicy cheeses, juicy olives, fine salami, crispy pastries and more - Italy is not only known for its joie de vivre and warm cuisine but also for its delicatessen. So what better way to celebrate the land of Dolce Vita than with a delicatessen market? So the Tip Food Festival, together with the delicatessen Viani, is holding its Food Market at Clärchens Ballhaus on 07 and 08 October.
In addition to the exciting weekly programme, which we have already reported on here, the weekend also has a lot to offer. On Saturday and Sunday, Clärchens Ballhaus in Berlin Mitte will host the Food Market and various shows, talks and panels on different food topics, moderated by the Tip Berlin editorial team. For the weekend, the Clärchen's restaurant will be transformed into a trattoria, serving Italian dishes.
At the heart of it all is the Food Market. There, goods from almost 40 exhibitors will be on offer at 25 stalls. Wines and spirits, prosciutto and pasta, balsamic vinegar and olive oil, the list is long and delicious. After all, the Italian love for good, high-quality food and drinks has always been celebrated.

Those looking for more background information, exciting preparation methods and, of course, tastings, will find what they are looking for at the shows that take place in the historic Hall of Mirrors. On Saturdays and Sundays, actors from various branches of Italian gastronomy will have their say and provide samples of their products.
Whether ice cream or Neapolitan pizzas, the relevance of the terroir for good olive oil or culinary discoveries in nature, many different topics await you. Producers from Italy and some Berlin acquaintances, such as Futura Pizza or the team from the Zàgara ice cream parlour, will come and offer deep dives into everything that makes up Italian cuisine.
If you're in the mood for a full meal, you can look forward to original Italian catering in the restaurant of Clärchens Ballhaus and treat yourself to a break from the hustle and bustle. Buon Appetito!
