Das süße Leben More than a chocolate shop

Like many businesses, chocolate shops are also strongly affected by seasonal fluctuations. While the cold months offer the best opportunity to enjoy hand-scooped chocolate bars, fine chocolates and sweet Easter bunnies or Santas and many other treats, many people are in the mood for something different in the summer. It has been a few years since Lucia de Brito and Dario Deserri took over the traditional Schöneberg shop, and as is usually the case when younger leadership takes over a business, the two also bring in new ideas. Das süße Leben is a well-known name and, as such, is ideally suited to offer products that go beyond the popular boxes of chocolates with the cachet of the curved name.

Towards the summer, a significant expansion of the product range will follow, complementing the chocolates that will, of course, continue to be available. Under the brand Das süße Leben (Sweet Life), a range of delicatessen products will be launched, ideal for giving as gifts or for personal use: jams, chutneys, oils, balsamic vinegar, salt, honey and more invite you to cook or picnic.

A visit is also worthwhile for a break in between, as Das süße Leben continues to run its café. Situated on the beautiful and, above all, quiet Salzburger Straße, you can relax here in the sun at the little tables and enjoy a coffee or espresso with a crispy, creamy pastel de nata, colourful macarons, ice cream or crunchy chocolates and much more. Especially in summer, a welcome little moment of deceleration on the doorstep.
