At C/O Berlin teens, children and adults are introduced to photography. Visual media of renowned artists are shown and young talented photographers are supported. The exhibition building, which moved west in 2015 convinces since its foundation in 2000 with its diverse cultural program with high international reputation.
About 20 exhibitions of significant photographer and artists, like Stephen Shore and Hans-Peter Feldmann, are shown each year. Next to photos and videos, talks, discussions and tours are part of the program, while the visual education of the generations is always in focus.
Since 2014 C/O foundation is housed in "Amerika Haus". A place that has been a symbol for the inconsistent transatlantic friendship between Germany and USA for decades. From September 11th 2001 till the moving in of C/O Berlin, it was closed to the public. Since its reopening the facilities including a library, cinema and the exhibition space are used again.
