Clärchens Ballhaus A truly Berlin institution

For me, one of the most beautiful venues in Berlin is the over 100 year-old ball room in Clärchens Ballhaus. It's not really a new discovery, but it's hidden away and perhaps not yet known to some people.

Nobody knows exactly when this turn-of-the-century building in the central district in Berlin-was erected. All the building files were lost during the war. What remains, apart from the large ballroom in the basement, is the original old hall of mirrors with its elaborate stucco ceilings, blind mirrors, large lights and small boxes on the first floor.

Forgotten for decades, fortunately not refurbished or altered to this day, it is the jewel of Clärchen's ballroom in Auguststraße. In the past, parties were held here, people danced, danced and had fun. Today you can do that again.
