As a child of the 90s, the name Dallmayr immediately conjures up in my mind's eye the catchy advertising for the coffee products of the long-established Munich coffee house. We know from our Munich dépendance that Dallmayr can do much more than coffee. Since 2009, however, the Kafehaus Dallmayr has also been in Berlin.

The premises located in the Museum of Communication are rustic, in keeping with the Munich model, but also in keeping with the Prussian history of Friedrichstadt. Surrounded by historical works of art, from historical motifs to parts of the Berlin Wall and under the beautiful stucco ceiling from 1704, breakfast, lunch, coffee and cake can be enjoyed wonderfully here.

Those who like to have brunch with family or friends during the Christmas holidays will find what they are looking for here on December 26. From 10:00am to 2:00pm, Kaffeehaus Dallmayr will be serving an opulent and, above all, delicious brunch buffet. And if you want to have some time to yourself, you can entrust your children to the free care of Niki's kids' club during brunch - a service Dallmayr offers every first Sunday of the month all year round, by the way.

And so the brunch menu reads not quite child-friendly, but no less delicious for that: salmon fillet wrapped in puff pastry, boiled beef aspic with tartar sauce, spinach salad with honey dressing, baked pumpkin coated in kimchi and sesame seeds, black salsify cream soup, and much more. But it's not all hearty fare. Gingerbread mousse with mulled wine cherries, New York cheesecake and brownies, as well as a selection of rolls and spreads, make for a more than fulfilling brunch experience; scrambled or fried eggs are available to order.

And because something for the soul is also needed, a glass of Meistercuvée and filter coffee are included per person. If you want to end the day a little later and leave the children in the care (which is well deserved by the parents after Christmas), you can also stay for coffee and cake. So if you want to end the holidays in an elegant and tasty way, the Christmas brunch at Kaffeehaus Dallmayr is just the right place.
