Cedar, pine and lemon The scent of spring in Bikini Berlin

Who hasn't experienced it: Suddenly, you are hit by a scent that transports you back to times gone by, such as a summer holiday on the Baltic Sea or under that tree in your grandparents' garden. The nose should not be underestimated as a memory store. Fragrances always awaken associations - all the better if they are beautiful ones. In Bikini Berlin's current installation, the Bikini Berlin x Taoasis fragrance workshop, you can freely combine scents for personalised room sprays free of charge.

In this way, the breath of a longed-for holiday or days gone by can easily be brought into your own four walls. Lavender transports the senses to the south of France, Swiss stone pine to Austria, while cinnamon brings a cosy Christmas note.

This is precisely the focus of the natural fragrance manufacturer Taoasis: it is about scent journeys, about experiencing the aromas of the world. A trip around the globe inspired founder Axel Meyer to dedicate himself to aromatherapy and fragrance blending. Taoasis fragrances are made of essential oils obtained by traditional steam distillation and are organically grown, partly on TaoFarm's own fields.

There is something of alchemy about putting the scents together at the on-site installation. The categories flowers, herbs, wood and citrus scents provide combinations that stimulate, refresh and relax. For example, lavender and cedar have a calming effect, while Swiss stone pine, eucalyptus and bergamot are wonderfully refreshing.

The installation at Bikini Berlin is open until 27 May, Thursdays to Saturdays, from 11 am to 6 pm. The whole thing is free of charge, you can simply take the self-created room sprays home and dream of faraway places or reminisce.
