Opened five weeks ago and packed to the gills on weekends: The cocktail bistro Bonvivant on Goltzstraße in Berlin-Schöneberg has already got an outstanding reputation. Why so? In part, it’s attributable to the well-decorated interior space, which prominently features green, mustard and rose as dominant colours.
Brass elements, shiny satin, and an incredibly happy team add to its success, while providing a wonderfully relaxed and yet extremely stylish ambience. Behind the bar, you’ll find Yvonne Rahm, named “World Class Bartender Germany 2018”, as well as Maximilian Schulz, Commercial Director at Our/Berlin.
Working around the headline “Beverly Hills Housewives by the Pool”, the duo has created some exceptional and colourful signature drinks, which should definitely not be missed at Bonvivant, and happen to serve as a fantastic starter. That’s why the bar and restaurant has named itself a “cocktail bistro”.
Head chef Ottmar Pohl-Hoffbauer, who’s known as an “organic top chef”, not only focuses on vegetarian dishes, but also the use of regional and fair ingredients. Bonvivant’s ingredients are 100 percent sourced from producers from Berlin, Brandenburg and Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. And everything is organic.
Bonvivant describes its concept as “eat-easy cuisine, that dares to think outside the box”. We say: relaxed, versatile and aromatic! Pohl-Hoffbauer is a nerd in the best possible way. An admirer of nature who can base entire menus around vegetables with true dedication. Sometimes mild and delicate, and sometimes with plenty of umami and spice in tow.
