After Streetfood Thursday in Markthalle Neun, Berlin now gets another temporary street food event. In a bi-weekly cycle, Berlin's hottest up-and-coming culinary newcomers will be serving international delicacies, drinks and cocktails right by the famous Kreuzberg riverside at Badeschiff. Seating is available on board of the good old Hoppetosse with a beautiful view of the river and the surrounding architecture, lulled by live music and DJ'ing.
Devoted chefs will be preparing Korean Nori tacos, Mexican### grilled meats and BBQ rolls. Spanish ham croquettes, Chinese dumplings and Japanese noodles will be competing with hamburgers and banh mis. For those with a sweet tooth there's ice cream, there will be cup cakes and other delicious little sins. And cocktails like Mexico's "Aguas Frescas", prepared with rum, hibiscus tea or almond milk are available at not one or two, but three bars!
Staged and arranged by London's Tommy Tannock and Miranda Zahedieh, the current summer high over Berlin is basically a guarantee for this event's obstacle-free road to success. The grand opening takes place on Friday, August 2nd, at 6pm. I will be there!
