.How to get there

Some don't do it at all, others with great fondness. For some, a black coffee is enough (maybe even - super anachronistically - with a cigarette?), for others, it can't be lavish enough with nourishing porridge, rich egg dishes and lots of crispy pastries... When it comes to breakfast, opinions differ. But if you're one of the latter, you're probably already familiar with the Benedict in Wilmersdorf and Prenzlauer Berg.

Early risers and night owls come here from 8 am to 10 pm for their morning (or evening, whatever their preference) refreshments. Since 2016, West Berlin has been supplied with breakfast creations from all over the world at nearly all hours. From pancake towers, hearty (as in the name) Eggs Benedict and avocado bagels to the classic English breakfast or shakshuka, no wish is left unfulfilled here.

The Benedict is worth a visit not only for its long-sleeper-friendly opening hours but also for the wide range of breakfast options and variations. The all-you-can-eat breakfast concept was imported from Tel Aviv and enjoys enormous popularity - why should the terrific pancakes with white chocolate, ingenious and deliciously crispy breakfast sandwiches with tomato relish and, of course, the eponymous Eggs Benedict in various versions not be a good choice in the morning?

Speaking of Eggs Benedict. As the name suggests, there is a tempting selection of them at the Benedict. It's hard to choose between the Croissant Royal with croissant baked in the in-house bakery, smoked salmon with chive cream, the option with fried shrimps, diced tomatoes and grilled asparagus or the Ham & Bacon version.

Don't miss the congenial deep-fried cauliflower with Caesar dressing and the pancakes that have already been mentioned here - stacked so high, they're enough for two and perhaps the best in town.

Of course, a mimosa is a fantastic accompaniment - or one of the many other delicious drinks. When breakfast falls in the afternoon, the drinks can be a little stronger. The morning can even start in the evening.
